Within the framework of a 20-year bilateral cooperation, the Ministry of Health of the Republican of Uzbekistan and International Organization ” Médecins sans frontières” (Doctors Without Borders), Uzbekistan is included in the number of countries implementing the innovative treatment of tuberculosis of multidrug resistance “TB Practical”.

In the year “Support for active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technologies” by the leadership of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Phthisiology and Pulmonology, the dream of expanding the access of each patient to innovative methods of treating tuberculosis is fulfilled.

On December 14, 2018, the TB Practical Innovation Department for the Treatment of MDR-Tuberculosis Patients was ceremonially opened at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Phthisiology and Pulmonology. Professor N.N. Parpiyeva, M.N. Tillashaikhov, E.I. Basitkhanova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and M. Bern, Victor Lionor Garcia, representatives of the international organization MSF (“Doctors Without Borders”) cut the ribbon to open the department.
